About the Totem Acoustic Bison Twin Tower
The Bison Twin Tower is one of Totem Acoustic’s flagship floorstanding designs, hand-built in Montreal, Quebec, and engineered to deliver big, room-filling sound from a surprisingly slim cabinet. Each tower pairs a 1.3″ laser-etched textile soft dome tweeter with neodymium magnet against two custom-engineered 5.25″ woofers with copper-clad voice coils, crossing over at 2.5kHz through a second-order network for a smooth, coherent presentation from deep bass through extended highs.
Totem’s lock-mitered, monocoque cabinet construction with full cross-bracing yields a cabinet four times more rigid than typical V-groove assembly, further quieted with borosilicate damping and variable-density fiberboard. The speakers sit on Totem’s proprietary high-density Delrin acoustic decoupling claw feet, isolating the cabinet from the floor for cleaner bass. This pair is finished in a beautiful White Oak, one of Totem’s most popular natural wood finishes, and was used as a demo/floor model in our showroom.
