About the Rogue Audio Pharaoh Hybrid Integrated Amplifier
The Pharaoh is Rogue Audio’s flagship hybrid integrated amplifier, built to combine the warmth and dimensionality of tube preamplification with the power, control, and reliability of a modern class D output stage. A pair of long-plate 12AU7 tubes configured in a mu-follower topology handle the preamp duties, feeding into a power section built around highly regarded Hypex OEM modules. The result is 185 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 350 watts per channel into 4 ohms, with a damping factor exceeding 1000, giving the Pharaoh the muscle to drive a wide range of speakers with authority while retaining a rich, tube-forward character.
Beyond its amplifier section, the Pharaoh includes a built-in phono stage with switchable MM/MC gain and adjustable cartridge loading, so a turntable can be connected directly without an outboard phono preamp. Three pairs of line-level inputs, a balanced XLR input, a processor loop, and a home theater bypass round out the connectivity, while a tube-driven 1/4″ headphone jack and remote-controlled volume with mute add everyday convenience. This example is finished in silver and comes fitted with a fresh set of preamp tubes direct from Rogue Audio.
