This Pioneer SX-636 came in a few weeks ago and was tested on arrival but never really checked out. The exterior of the receiver is excellent. The case is near perfect and the faceplate has just a minor scratch. The only damage was thanks to the shipping a crack in the corner of the dial glass. I am looking into a solution and may have reproduction glass available. Overall, it is a great clean looking receiver…on the outside. Soon as the case was opened you can tell no one had been in there since the 70’s. Thick layer of dust covering everything, however my favorite, all original circuit boards and components. In testing this receiver it was still putting out over factory spec and equal channels. Original Toshiba outputs are present and will be tested cleaned and returned to the unit. There are a few problem transistors on the amp board that will be replaced. A replacement of electrolytics and some refurbishing this will make a great receiver. Here are a few before shots :
