About the Spendor A7
Spendor has been crafting some of Britain’s finest loudspeakers since 1969, drawing on a deep heritage of acoustic research and real-world musicianship. The A7 is the flagship of Spendor’s A-Line series — a refined floorstander that combines Spendor’s hallmark naturalness and tonal accuracy with genuine full-range capability. Built in the UK, the A7 delivers the kind of honest, involving sound that rewards careful listening and grows with your system over time.
At the heart of the A7 is Spendor’s 18cm EP77 polymer bass/midrange driver, developed in-house and optimized for low coloration and wide dynamic range. A 22mm fabric dome tweeter handles the upper frequencies with smoothness and air. The result is a coherent, time-aligned presentation with an exceptionally open midrange, controlled low frequencies, and a high-frequency response that is detailed without ever becoming fatiguing. The A7’s Linear Flow port system manages bass loading with precision, delivering deep, tuneful bass that integrates naturally with the midrange.
The cabinet is built to Spendor’s exacting standards — rigid, inert, and beautifully finished. The oak finish (available in a range of real-wood veneers) gives the A7 a warm, furniture-grade appearance that suits a wide variety of room aesthetics. A pair of outrigger feet provide stable, vibration-free placement.
