About the NAD M51 Masters Series Direct Digital DAC
The NAD M51 is a groundbreaking digital-to-analog converter from NAD’s flagship Masters Series. Rather than using conventional DAC chips, the M51 employs NAD’s proprietary Direct Digital feedback architecture, which converts the incoming digital signal directly into an analog output using a 35-bit / 844kHz signal path. This approach virtually eliminates jitter and provides exceptionally low distortion, resulting in a remarkably transparent and musical presentation.
With its extensive connectivity and reference-grade performance, the M51 served as the digital heart of many high-end systems and remains highly regarded today for its neutral, detailed, and natural sound.
