About the NAD C 658 BluOS Streaming DAC/Preamplifier
The NAD C 658 is a reference-level streaming preamplifier and DAC that pairs NAD’s renowned amplifier design with BluOS, the acclaimed multi-room music platform used by leading audio brands worldwide. At its core is an ESS Sabre ES9028Q2M 32-bit DAC, delivering native decoding up to 32-bit/192kHz along with full MQA unfolding, so both hi-res files and MQA streams are rendered with exceptional detail and low distortion.
Beyond its outstanding digital conversion, the C 658 is a full-featured analog and digital preamplifier, with a grounded MM phono input, multiple digital and line-level inputs, balanced and unbalanced outputs, and two-way aptX HD Bluetooth. Dirac Live room correction is built in, with a calibration microphone included, to fine-tune the sound to your room, and two Modular Design Construction (MDC) slots allow for future hardware upgrades, including an available HDMI 4K switching module. Controlled through the intuitive BluOS app or the included remote, the C 658 offers seamless access to Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music, internet radio, and networked or local music libraries, all with whole-home multi-room capability.
