The KEF LS50 Meta is the evolution of KEF’s award-winning LS50 standmount loudspeaker — a compact monitor that has earned a devoted global following for its astonishing resolution, coherence, and musicality. Building on the original’s groundbreaking Uni-Q driver array, the LS50 Meta introduces KEF’s Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), a highly complex maze-like structure that absorbs 99% of the unwanted sound from the rear of the tweeter, virtually eliminating distortion and coloration. The result is a speaker of exceptional clarity, imaging, and tonal neutrality that punches far above its size.
The 12th-generation Uni-Q driver places the tweeter at the acoustic center of the midrange cone, allowing both drivers to behave as a single point source. This produces a remarkably wide and precise soundstage with pinpoint imaging.
