Sansui 881 in very good condition. Small scratch next to the power button, few very minor blemishes, and a little bubbling of the veneer on top but overall a good clean 9 / 10.
Power supply and amp board capacitors were changed along with the supply filter caps to quality Nichicon and Panasonic. Amplifier was rebiased and bench tested. As most 881 out there a very low almost inaudible hum at idle but par for these great sounding receivers an does not effect listening quality. Amp is loud and punchy, very vibrant. Has inputs for turntable (built in preamp), and two aux ports.
Soon, final hi res photos and specs will be presented. Below is a quick photo while being played with a Sansui SR-1050 turntable in listening tests.

Very nice receiver!
Is this receiver still available? How much is the asking price?
Thanks
Interested. I have a G-3000 and a 3300 and love ‘em, but need to step up in power to run my Kef C-80s.
How much are you asking?
Hi there Charlie. Had it on the market for awhile but took it off because it started having protection circuit issues; seems there is a gremlin in this unit. The receiver has the typical 881 hum from the transformer. It most likely needs some work on the protection circuit and track down the source of high offset. It has a rebuilt power supply and amp board. Can let it go fairly cheap if you have a tech to work on it. Otherwise it will get done here down the road. If you would like, shoot me an email mike@hudsonvalleyhifi.com and we can talk about the receiver.
Is the Sansui 881 still up for sale, and if so what are you asking?
Hi Jon, responded via email. Thank you for the interest.
